THE STORY OF JUST KEYANA
Sharing my favorite reads, places, and recipes since 2018.
Meet The blogger
Hey, I’m Keyana
My name is Keyana, and this is my little corner of the internet: Just Keyana. I’m thirty years old (but can we all agree adulthood is a work in progress?). Books have always been my greatest passion, fueled by my participation in the Pizza Hut Book It! program, where devouring stories earned me personal-pan pizzas. Those visits ignited a lifelong love for story worlds and fictional characters. Reading is truly my personal heaven.
I live in Hudson Valley, New York—just a short drive from the bustling city but surrounded by serene, scenic beauty. The changing seasons here are incredible, and I find so much inspiration in them. When I’m not lost in the pages of a novel or working as a tax accountant, I love traveling to new places, spending quality time with family, and indulging in creative hobbies like writing and curating playlists. My favorite color is rose gold, a shade that perfectly captures my love for subtle beauty with a touch of boldness.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
a little more about the blog
It all started in May 2018 when I launched Just Keyana for the first time. At the time, it was a place for me to share all the things I loved—baking recipes that brought joy to my kitchen, travel experiences that fed my wanderlust, and most importantly, book reviews. Books have always been a huge part of my life, and reviewing them gave me a chance to connect with fellow readers and share my thoughts on stories that moved, inspired, or intrigued me. I poured my heart into every post, creating a space that truly felt like a reflection of me.
But as life often does, it got busy. Preparing for the CPA exams became my top priority, and blogging had to take a backseat. After earning my certification, work demanded much of my time as I established myself in my career. Even though the blog was on pause, my love for writing and sharing my passions never disappeared. Now, I’m excited to return to Just Keyana, bringing with me fresh ideas and an eagerness to reconnect with the amazing community that inspired me from the start.
