acronyms explained
01.
Gifted
A book marked as “Gifted” means I received it for free from a publisher, author, or business (with no obligation or expectation). These are unsolicited gifts—I wasn’t asked to review them, and my opinions are always my own.
02.
PR
A “PR” label means the book was sent to me intentionally by a publisher/publicist (often for review consideration). While these are technically “gifted,” I use PR to clarify when something was sent as part of a professional outreach. I’ll always disclose this in my reviews/posts. My thoughts are never influenced by how I received the book.
03.
AD
An “AD” means the post or review is part of a paid partnership (extremely rare on my blog!). This could be a sponsored review (paid fee), a gifted book + payment, a donation to charity in exchange for coverage.
I only work with brands/authors I genuinely support, and ads are always clearly marked. (Note: I do not currently accept paid reviews).
NOTE: If I purchased a book/item myself, I’ll always clearly state this—it means I paid for it with my own money. My opinions remain 100% my own, just like with any other review.
